I wasn't looking for a new tank but found this amazing deal on a Reefer 170 and pulled the trigger yesterday, so looks like I have a new project (besides my 90G Reef and 2 QTs) :D I'm trying to decide between the AI Hydras and Ecotech Radions for lighting and right now I'm planning on just keeping various LPS, a clam (species still TBD), and fish in this tank. The tank is 34 display gallons (43 total with sump) and measurements are 24x20x20.

I'm also not very clear on whether I need a 1 or 2 bulb fixture given the dimensions, for example if I was looking at the AI's do just need a single prime or do I need something like the Hydra 26?

Thoughts? Experiences with each?

Have you heard about the Reef Breeders Photon 16-V2? They have 6 dimming channels, use Cree LEDs, and include tank mounting legs so you can mount them right on the rim of your tank, or if you have a hood, I have seen one our customers actually use the light inside the hood with success:

Hey Logan, incidentally enough I actually am running an original RB Photon 48" on our larger 90G reef, so definitely have experience with them (at least the first generation). I haven't heard of the smaller fixtures however I'll definitely check them out!
