Pompom nems

Will pompom crabs regenerate new nems on their own or do they need another pompom to help regenerate?

Yes they will need to be replaced. If the anemones are on a molt, the crab might go and retrieve them.

Another Pom can give that one an anemone and then both will split their 1 to make 2 each. This is reasonably common.

I have read that they can create one from taking a chunk out of a larger anemone, but I don't believe it.

My pom pom came in with none , but now has two. No idea where they came from. I know they are very specific species. Maybe it still had a tiny bit and they grew. Weird.

Ill have to keep an eye on it. For the size of the tank, it's out it quite a bit.

They're such interesting yet timid little guys. I love the fact that they share anemones with each other.
