Potentially switching lights

My plan is to start a small SPS tank in the next few months. My current tank currently has one G5 pro and I’m having a lot of success with it. The tank is mainly growing zoas and some LPS which has me thinking of swapping it out for 2 AI Primes and moving the Radion to the SPS tank. I’m just nervous I’ll slow the growth I’m seeing right now but I feel two primes will have more even spread. Should I be worried about messing with the growth rates I’m seeing now? I have had good success with primes in the past

It is. Price is pretty dang close to the same. I was just thinking of changing to 2 primes for better spread over the current tank (IM 20 Peninsula)

A single XR15 G5 is plenty for an IM 20.

I do not think you will achieve any better spread in a zoa and LPS tank with 2 AI Primes. What are the dimensions of your planned SPS tank?

I’m thinking it’s either going to be an IM10, WB20 or IM14

A single XR15 G5 Pro will work on any of those tanks, but you might have to crank it up to > 80% output. I had to supplement my XR15 G5 Blue with 2 LED bars on an IM25 lagoon.

AI primes are plenty capable enough for continuing growth on zoas and LPS. If you're not wanting to spend extra money on lights for these specific coral, I wouldn't blame you.

I’m not worried about it for the SPS tank but on my current IM I think I’m running them around 80% as well. My zoas and acans seem to love it
