@Scurvy theres a couple aips on the base rock from the toadstool, and i want to hand it off to ray so it can run fallow for him. Can i just cut the foot off and let it reattached itself? Or do i need to chisel it off the rock and leave some attached?

@najer any tips or experience also?

I would probably go the chisel route then reglue or putty whatever rocks left to another piece of rock. That leathers got to be huge at this point so getting it to completely reattach flesh would be a nightmare due to its size/weight.

I would cut it as low as you can, if you chisel it you will still get aips.

Hey there! What do ya do when ya clean and tick a tank off? Next day yuck it off more lol. Had a beauty of a rock in sump lotsa corraline but wouldn’t fit the space so went with two others. The t5’s at highest setting = cruddy pics but better than nothing so bombs away. Oh and nem is moving outta corner smh

Sry for the alert going off but I’m pretty amazed and wanted to share. The nem is mad and moving. When it moved to corner it left exposed rocks from its circle so moved em to sump. Nem was fine for along time but after deep clean yesterday and coral placement it boogied further right under 15 lb rock.
I decided to get rock from sump reform his circle and try to get him in hand but as soon as I touched 1 tentacle he retracted to first size under rock and actually lifted and moved entire structure forward!
Incredible display of strength. Not sure what to expect in am

Thats impressive from a nem, but if any can do super lta strength its yours ray. Sucks it keep moving, sunset must be like a mom chasing an oversized 3 year old around a store!

Sunset has a new jackhammer attack hits me 4 to 5 times in quick staccato fashion before swimming away for another run. Sad to say but wouldn’t have shed a tear for that fish

Nem was hooked to front glass left corner......rebuilt rock circle and cleared sand from bottom glass and his foot will see if he stays / shrug.
ATI fixture stripped open checked wiring for bulbs 4 and 5 that have been intermittently on and off. One wire end over stripped sticking out a bit redid it but don think that’s issue. Will see last option after end caps and this is new ballast.

Sent Fauna Marin icp rest out today also hot email that Aquabiomics is prepping my sample. Did testing today and have a problem,po4 is toooooooo low pulling gfo tomorrow get ratio more in line with nitrates. And now it’s FTS Tuesday!

Happy Sunday all, I'm spinning up some water for a wc later today.
Tank status Without the tang gang and a few less snails got some algae that started back up. Still minor and already browning out and dying just ugly in spots.
Po4 bottomed out on me pulled reactor off line and dosed it back to readable. Hope now nitrates will start budging down withpo4 present to consume.
Icp test still hasn't reached Fla from Ma. 4 bucks postage 4 days in post and not at destination. Hopefully Fauna Marin gets it Monday.
Aquabiomics results due 6/26. Once I get a peek at these results can plan next steps in recovery.

Hideho neighbors, Grrr dirty dying algae getting hung up on gorgonians. Daily blowing off the rocks and getting better bit by bit albeit to slow for my tastes ( I know nothing good happens fast)
I cut the light cycle down a bit as well corals seem ok so far with it.
Fauna Marin received my water samples this afternoon now will see how long to get results. My view from the couch
