My nephew runs my Mum's last tank, I gave it to him when she passed, 2 young kids, they love it and find the time to keep it ticking over nicely!
I paid for it to be running and wet with live rock. :)
thats awesome to see a tank continue its life in the family with a new generation learning and loving the hobby

Hey all, For a change at the LFS it wasn’t the wife who pushed for new additions. Well she liked a few items but I was jazzed when I saw a couple sweet Acro frags. Decided I wanted to play with the big boys so two new frag pieces a beautiful yellow and one crimson have been dipped and added as the lights were going down tonight.
Good lord willing and the creek don’t rise hope to have some pics in the am to share.

Very nice! I guess the Foxface is doing its job if you are adding SPS.
Foxy is doing a pretty nice job indeed. Still small tufts in mid level that I guess he doesn’t like to get to but Hoover the sea hare and other cuts have been taking care of byssiness.
Haven’t seen the high ground in tank so bare since I put the rocks in the tank :) so time to try a bit of eye candy. Frags were cheap enough to give it a go now fingers crossed I don’t ball it up........

Well last night added the acropora frags and they were less than thrilled. This am their color seems to be coming back the red a little faster than the yellow. Yellow is recoloring at the base and the tips a bit so hopefully in a few days will be seeing polyps extending and full coloration without needing to adjust any lighting or flow. Tossed a bonus pic in of the Urchin (Fred Sanford) who was good enough to grab the sea weed clip that fell in a hard to reach location back of the rocks.... to funny!

Had a field trip to @RichtheReefer21 house to see his tank in person, pictures don’t do it justice amazing in person. Was cool talking about his upcoming upgrade to a sump system it’s gonna be a beast. If you haven’t checked his thread out I recommend putting it on your list to follow along, https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/rags2riches-the-learning-curve-125g.571455/
@Rich thanks for loaning me your Hanna checker to compare with my RedSea numbers the Hannah is so easy to use I was hesitant at first but once ya walked me thru piece of cake :)

Sooooo...

What's the hanna showing for po4?
It showed berry berry bad.......was double what I had measured two days ago but due to Hoover taking a dirt nap. Found his body today:( which explains perhaps the numbers
He was a workhorse have no idea what happened to him everyone else fish shrimp are fine.....
Going to recheck in couple days and do RedSea and Hannah same time to really compare

Ugh...

Definitely agree doing both same time and take the assumption of the median being where ur really at.

Good evening Welcome to photo dump Wednesday. Yellow Acro looks to have a big more color not mush but heading in right direction. If it’s not full yellow by tomorrow gonna quit reefing and take up knitting NOT! I got time to wait and if I need better Acro pics will just borrow some of NY_Cavemans lol
Need some advice on the toadstool. It’s growing more feeders towards backside it seems. It’s top shelf near Acro so Lotta flow but maybe less on backside. Should I leave at same height but find it a little shelter from flow or drop it down a bit with less flow or just leave it be? Graze for any tips :)

Sorry for the language but channel 2 on one of three leds went out of darn near out. Enjoying the glow of the phyto in the moonlights see right dude of tank barely glowing. 3 leds should be lit but only 2 are and barely any power to them.
I’ve been pleased with the DSuny lights 4 channel 165 watt set so far but I ordered em 7/30/18 and an issue already? Ticked at myself saved half off name brand non Chinese lights thought I’d get 2 years out of em then buy AI or Radions blah blah blah
Emailed manufacturer will see what they offer up. Hate going to bed mad and wound up
