Hey all,

i currently have a mystery condition with my pink streak wrasse.

he’s in QT with 2 tile fish and a royal gramma. No aggression has been seen in the 30 days I’ve had them in together.

so far they’ve been through 30 days of copper @ 2.1ppm (copper power)

and during that treatment i also treated for flukes with prazi pro… which seemed to be ineffective as after the second treatment they are still showing signs (flashing/yawning ect..) and a FW dip did show flukes even after the two treatments…

so what im getting at here is before i start the drop to hypo to purge the flukes.. anyone know what’s going on with these sores??? It sometimes looks like the scales are dull and flapping about but even after watching the tank for hours no one seems to mind eachother.

the pictures are kinda hard to tell but there’s splotches of different shades on him

Tough to see, but if you saw flukes in the dip, then it had to be Neobenedenia. Prazi often fails to stop that, hypo is better.
Could the red lesions be from the Neo feeding on the skin, plus secondary bacterial infection? Uronema can cause red lesions in wrasses, but it kills pretty quickly.

Yea i figured he’d be a goner by now, as he’s had these “sores” for about two weeks now. Well thanks for putting my mind to ease!!
