My favorite fish of all time, the Joculator Angelfish. I was fortunate enough to own one once. Lost it due to a Neo-Therm heater malfunctioning many years ago.

Mature emperor angel

I don't have one now because I fear he would eat my corals, but I had one 45 years ago. A real beauty.

My second choice is a queen angel. I don't have one of these because of the same concern about corals.

And my unicorn reef angel is the Colini - Years and Year and Years for making the best efforts and 6 months is my record with one of these fish (actually 2 of them lasted 6 months). I love these fish, but my wife who is fully supportive of the hobby has told me NO MORE COLINI's. But when I see them and know they have Zero chance of surviving 99% of the places they are going I just have to try.
Why don't you try it CB? Biota breeds them. Should have much better luck with these.

Singapore Angelfish. I have to say that because she's the only angelfish I have. Not the prettiest perhaps, but she's far from an ugly fish. She's been with me for almost exactly a year, and together with my foxface she's the star of the tank.

Genicanthus Angels! They must be the most underrated reef fish there is. Perfect size, good temperament, bold, personable and really pretty!

I love my group of Genicanthus lamarck, they are better algae eaters than my tangs and seem to particularly relish diatoms. They eat flake, Pellet, frozen anything you want to feed them and don’t touch corals, feather dusters, sponges, clams or the clean up crew. I’ve also had Genicanthus melanospilos and again a complete model reef citizen.

It’s hard to pick… my favourite is torn between my Majestic and Regal angels.

However, my top 3 large angels are;
1. Majestic (Navarchus)/Regal (Yellow Belly)
2. Blue Face
3. Singapore

And my top 3 dwarf angels are;
1. Multicolour
2. Potters
3. Coral beauty (Tiger Tails specifically)

Many consider them a bit drab and overpriced, but there’s something really special about Conspic angels. They move with wonderful elegance through the water and almost look like a hand drawn, cell shaded cartoon.

I REALLY like these as well. They would be a clear #2 on my list and at some point I'd love to buy one. They will need to get below $1k for me to consider it though. Since they are captive bred, I assume it'll happen. Pie bald royal pythons used to be nearly $20k in the early 90's. Now you can easily get them for a few hundred $. So maybe I'll have one in 10 more years. :0)

Currently tied between my queen and my maculosus. Probably the 2 nicest looking angels. It used to be the regal until I saw these 2 in person.
