The tank looks absolutely stunning Rob! :D

Thank You!
Hi Rob...Awesome tank man, thank you for sharing. What did you use as the stand-offs for the lights?

Thank You, let me see if I can find the link, I know I bought them on Amazon.
Looks amazing Rob, thanks for keeping us up to date, any mortalities? I know its a weird question

Thank You, Acrolandia, went MIA. Mustve got knocked off by a fish.
I read the tank of the month on robs tank and loved his methodology... i loved what you said about people not having tanks that are fully grown out and just designer frag tanks... love your tank man

Thanks! Seems that way, folks are getting in for momentary reasons...
Love the tank. You have 2 out of the 3 angels I would love to put in my sps tank. The regal, gold flake and would also love a bandit. How bad is the nipping from the regal and gold flake??

Thanks! Nipping is not too bad, I do see them nipping, especially my Personifer. but doesnt do alot of damge.

Initially, I removed the sand in my 300g so I can increase the flow, but found it was alot easier to maintain as well. Also in my 300, my return pump had a manifold to pump water out of the sump to my sink in the laundry room, in the 450, its plumbed to pump out 80g out of the disply

Trying to figure out how you get such amazing growth...incredible.
Stability long term and coral adaptability. As long as nutrients are manageable I let it ride. I use carbon or GFO maybe once or twice a year. Corals adapt well and creates biodiversity and becomes resilient. I dont want to say my water is turbid, maybe borderline. My nutrients level is higher then most people like, but it works for me. Miracle Mud provides minerals and trace elements, which produces great growth with my macro algae, increase pod population and micro fauna, which my corals love. A simple set up, large fuge, kick butt skimmer, awesome lights and a ton of flow. Also saves me money, I dont test much, dkh once every 2 weeks or so, I dont feed my coral no over the counter coral foods, including amino acids, but the poop my fishes provide and food I give them, LRS, pellets and what ever else stays in the water column. I dont use carbon or gfo, is a bonus as well. Been reefing this way and using this method since 1996.

Very impressive, as others have stated. I have seen a couple references to miracle mud and the Orphan lights recently, across many solid looking tanks. Not that those independently make the whole thing work, but something I may look into in the future for my "next" tank. Thanks for sharing!

Do you run only Miracle Mud in your fuge? cover it or mix in sand?

Thanks for the info on your method. I’m in the process of putting together a new build and your success has helped me go with Orpheks. How often do you change 80 gallons? I also want to hear more about your miracle mud method. Does it need to be changed out?

Newly acquired pieces from CFM, and several Indos , they almost died cause of the rigorous dipping number I did on them. They all turned white, but color is coming back. Along with some current fire I have that been cooking for a while now.

Tank is doing well. Still using MM, around 100lbs in my fuge. I love it never ran a tank without it. I'll do video of my filtration soon.
