Salinity Probes that work with the Apex

Ok folks thought I'd do a quick update. I purchased a couple of the conductivity probes from Ali Express. The seller assured the mini din connector now works with APEX. I am happy to report that IT DOES!! I took it out of the box, plugged it into my PM2 module, as I have an APEX EL. I calibrated it and it's up and running and reading the exact same ppt as my refractometer is. Here's a few pics.
Can you provide a link to the probe or seller?

has any one tried this on an A3 apex. They are still saying it will not work on an a3.

You can try it, but it's 100% at your own risk. With the tariff pricing in effect, since they are from China, you may just be better off dropping the 200$ from Neptune.

Yea who knows you could now pay $300 for that probe… 6 months ago I bought 2 of those for $100 shipped total. Not sure I would risk it right now.

yeah that is what i was afraid of. mine just went out a week ago

when did the apex probes get to 250?

I been searching for these and looks like I can’t find any in stock would this go by any other name?
I would (as I think I said before) just use the probes with the apex that come from Neptune. There are always questions. -are the results right. etc etc

Honestly if I can get it for a good price I would utilize it. I had the probe new and it fell apart not even a year after use. Do I need to monitor salinity not really I have other devices to check but if I can utilize apex and not pay a high price why not

You've been saying this forever. Many including myself have more than proven otherwise that non Neptune branded probes work just fine.

Yeah, it's a little more work, but to be locked into a ecosystems products (which are waaayyy overpriced) is just bogus IMHO.

Just saw that. Earlier this year they were 199$.

One of many reasons my main system went hydros a few months back. I sold a Neptune branded probe that was working for only 50$ 😲
