Well, well, well... Here we go! I got a new 40 gallon Nuvo tank from IM and so far Im so impressed! I bought 30lbs of cured live rock, 40lbs of sand, and a Tunze 9004 protein skimmer. Gutted my old tank and moved over the Mp10, a couple key pieces and most of the coral frags(Birds Nest, frogspawn, acan), a clown fish, a fire fish and two anemones and a hairy mushroom. Took most of my day Sunday to get it to where it is now, here's some photos. I plan to go home after work tonight and hook up the Apex, ATO, and doser etc...

Pesci the clown, looks lost. Hopefully he'll stay healthy and happy and find an anemone to host

Did someone say anemone? Rose is in there...

A bit cloudy and a lot of blue, day 1 is a wrap. More photos and updates coming soon...

For sure, Im excited to see how it looks after work today... I added some Dr. Tims to help with the transition and addition of new live rock, so hopefully things clear up and everything is alive...
Smart idea. Definitely not a bad idea to add that.

Any suggestions for fish to add? Right now I just have a perc clown and a fire fish. I am thinking Goby for sure either Watchman or Yasha and a six line wrasse. Probably need to up the clean up crew a bit with some sand sifting snails and maybe a hermit or two... Never had a lawnmower blenny... THOUGHTS? Always down for suggestions...

Reef4_Clowns.jpg

Got a new clown to give Pesci some company, any suggestions on a name?
Reef3_zoa.jpg

Also added my first zoa frag to the tank, really hoping to see it grow and not disappear...
Reef2Anemone.jpg

Anemone is a friend indeed, looks like my RBT is bouncing back and beginning to smile...
Reef1.jpg

And I frag'd my old Birds Nest and got rid of the dead areas, glued this piece toward to top in the middle, hope to see it fill in some of that area nicely...

Also added 4 Trochus snails, still dialing in my calcium and alk doser but Im getting close. Just increased the light intensity by 5%.

beautiful tank! do you spot feed your duncans? They look fantastic
No the Duncans grow like crazy, they're the easiest to keep in the tank, the frogspawn second... Im struggling a bit with the zoas and the acan has been staying pretty much the same. I want them to grow so bad! Anemones are on the rebound, cant wait for them to host my clowns again

Good to know, for some reason I thought they were a tougher to keep kind of coral.

Clowns hosting nems has always been my favorite part of the hobby. I had them hosting a GBTA in my 55 a long time ago and it was so cool to watch. Strange that the zoas aren't taking off for you, they were always one of the easier for me to keep in the past.

Regardless, the tank looks awesome!

Nice tank. Curious at what intensity you are running your kessil at? How much space do you have between your tank and wall for that kessil mounting arm? I'm currently running the Kessil A360we and starting to convert the tank to a BTA tank. Do your nems seem to like the Kessil?
