Scoly eating snails???

What is going on here? Is it normal for a scoly to consume nassarius snails like this? There were like 10 snails in its mouth.

If it somehow falls into the tentacles or crawls then it's fair game. Had a scoly devour a tridacna maxima from falling into it. Same goes for small fish as a lot of LPS are piscivorus

mine did the same thing when I first got it. snails, crabs and even rocks where fair game.. lol!

First I've seen this. Crazy. Had it for months and never seen a snail mess with it and now tons are in its mouth. May be a sign to give it some mysis more often haha

Old thread I know, but figured I would chime in here. I have an assortment of a few hundred dwarf ceriths and dwarf planaxis in my tank and over the past few weeks, I've witnessed my scoly eating TONS of them! Scoly was not doing that prior and nothing in my tank has changed. I will try feeding it more often to see if that helps at all. The scoly looks inflated and happy, so I don't necessarily mind except that there is a graveyard of shells beginning to collect in front of it lol.
