Couple new shots I think came out ok. Probably look better on a phone than PC.

Corals are all looking pretty good of late. Only LPS left standing besides the digi and Monti’s which I can live with for now.

Sand going in soon. Gonna try containing it with rocks towards the back right corner with a sort of retaining wall. Wont be perfect I know but hope to manage it while keeping mostly bare bottom.

The Misfits have all seen this already but we took a day and blew up the sump last weekend. Fuge was full of Aip infested chaeto, sand in fuge needed to go and all gear needed a bad cleaning.
We yanked the sump offline at 7:45am and started pulling gear.

Drained and dragged sump to the tub and bleach bathed it for 6 hours. After cleaning we had this.

Tazz Man the puppy helped. Or thought he did.... He was stealing towels and up my butt all day! Tazz know he loves me but like every foreman/supervisor was just in my way!

After 13 hours of cleaning the sump then skimmer, heater and a new return pump we landed here at 8:45pm

i then offered a 110g tank, clean sump and slightly used puppy up for grabs to all my reefing friends :)

Kidding of course but It was a long day with a ton of work and a puppy with his snout up my bum all day!

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all!

Forgot to mention the pride I took in hearing @Raege so kindly point out that I had the dirtiest shaft he’s ever seen.... Hence the new Return pump mentioned above :)

That is a huge job. Still remember when I removed my sump after spotting Aip like it was yesterday But it was over a year ago.
Hello mr. Tazz

Man I HATE aiptasia. Took two reboots to get rid of mine in the Nuvo 10 and the second I see one in this build I might just burn my house down and start over ;Shifty

Easy for me to laugh, Ive had good luck with a CBB and Nudi's but I know the pain. They all moved to sump on me of course... Aip really can ruin the hobby for us all.

Feel the pain. Aip will be the thing to make me walk from this hobby. Might take Josh advice and burn the house down

For liability reasons I must state that even burning your house down is not a proven treatment for Aiptasia. They very well might just sprout up from the ashes with all that new fertilizer you have provided. I can not and will not be held accountable for the potential destruction of property as a result of this treatment. ;Locktopic
