This morning the lights have been on for about an hour, I turned them as low as they can go with the blues slightly higher and my gsp has finally started to open up thankfully. Other than that nothing too much to talk about everything is staying stable so far.(meant to post at 9:30 but forgot to click the button)

welcome to Reef2Reef!

I would give the GSP its own small rock, and either attach it or lean it against the back wall. (What I’ve currently done in my tank, just drilled a hole in a rock and stuck the frag plug in). It is typically very hardy but will quickly cover any and all rock it is touching (including other corals!) Sand also irritates it, so best to elevate it slightly.

for an ATO, I use this on my 28g nano and have had no issues, pump sits in a 5g bucket.

Sweet thanks man! I plan on having the Xenia cover the back left and the gsp in the back right. I just have it placed there for the moment till I get some less invasive corals to place on my main rock.

Not a bad plan at all! Pulsing Xenia is a really underrated coral imo, it grows quickly, looks really unique, and is great for nutrient control. (I have Kenya Leather in my tank for the same purpose). As long as you keep an eye on corals like that you shouldn’t have any issues with them taking over.

Hey guys I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated y’all but everything is still going great so far, I’ve added a few more things such as a candy cane shrimp, two hermits to help with detritus and as far as coral goes I got two JF monti (one Aquaman, and one Razorback) frags for 25$ so I couldn’t resist, they struggled a little at first as the tanks definitely still kinda young but they appear to be making a recovery, a watermelon blasto frag with one big polyp and three new forming at the lfs for 20$ and a 15$ zoa frag. Everything appears to be showing signs of growth and happiness.
