I am picking up a 20+ gallon nano system this coming weekend (24 long, 16.5 deep, 12.25 tall) and am looking for some lighting options. Eventually, I'd like to turn this tank into a QT when I can piece together a 120 to 150 gallon system, so I don't mind if the light is a little overkill so long as I can move it to a larger system with additional lights.
Ideally I will be able to use the light to grow out some nice corals--including SPS--that will eventually be transferred to the larger system. Looking at all options, but price will be a factor in the decision. I was initially set on a Kessil a360x that I might find used, but I've also looked at AI 16HD and radion xr15s. The light does need to be programmable as my schedule is inconsistent, and I won't be able to manually adjust lights on a regular schedule.
Any insight that you might have would be greatly appreciated: lights I am overlooking, downfalls of the lights mentioned, better/worse options for corals, etc.
Thanks in advance!
