Sicce XStream SDC triubleshooting

I got a Sicce XStream SDC powerhead off the Amazon Warehouse. I've had good luck ordering off there in the past, usually still new in box. This time my luck ran out and it was clearly used, but was okay with that. Unfortunately I can't get it to work, I was going to send it back but they just refunded me and told me to keep it. When plugged in the lights on the controller flash constantly about every 2-3 seconds, tried holding down/pressing buttons but nothing. Thought about ordering a new controller, I found a part # for it on Sicces website but don't see anyway to order. Any ideas?

Did you check all of the connections to make sure they aren't corroded?

Yes they all look fine. I talked to someone at Sicce and the controller works fine without the pump plugged into it. They said the pump likely has a short somewhere in it, just going to keep it for parts if ever needed
