Hey,

I made a small dosingpump.

One that doesn't use wifi or bluetooth.

it's simple and reliable.

you can find the files here:

it uses the value of a potentiometer to calculate runtime between 5 and 30 seconds.

it uses a potentiometer to set a amount of time to run. Normally this is between 5 and 30 seconds ( this can be adjusted in the code)

when you start it, set potentiometer somewhere and hit the pushbutton once, the time is set and it everytime it runs it takes the same time as the first time.

LED flashes 2 times fast. motor starts running. you measure the output.
Now, push the button for 3 seconds. LED starts blinking. adjust the potentiometer and hit the pushbutton 1 time. The new time has been saved, LED stays on for a second to confirm. Push the button again and the pump starts running for the set amount of time.
If you turn the potentiometer IT WILL NOT REGISTER THE CHANGE. You need to reset the time again.

Potentiometers always shift in value a bit and the ADC in a arduino is not that precise. To make sure that it doesnt run 0.3 or 0.5 seconds longer or shorter each time it runs I decided to inplement this.

normally it runs every 24 hours.
Push button 2 times, Led flashes 2 times and it will run every 12 hours.
push button 3 times, LED flashes 3 times, it runs for 8 hours.
Push button 4 times LED flashes 4 times, it runs every 6 hours.

I know, I'm not giving my designs away for free anymore, I do spend a lot of money on them and want to get a small bit of that in return.

Also:

in a few months i'm releasing my final version of the fleecefilter for the waterbox AIO aquariums ( the 10 to 25 gallon). It'll have a screen to adjust settings and a build in ATO.
that design is completly rebuild and clicks together, no more 3d printed screws. I also made custom PCB's for that one.

and after that a drop in filter unit that uses the fleecefilter and a active coal camber and heater chamber and returnpump and ATO. So every aquarium can be made into a automated reeftank.

that will also be for sale.

I started my own company a few months back to design and sell aquarium equipment that is build to last. All files are available, even if you buy a finished products. So if my company doesnt exist anymore in a few years you can always keep the devices running endlessly.

Thanks for sharing! Pretty cool you were able to make a dosing pump like that!
