James, incredible collection and tank. Love it!

I have a question. When you got ur frag if the pc superman was it a dark green? Mine which was sold to me as a PC superman is a dark green maybe bluish tint to it. Wondering if it turns into the pinkish rink with blue tips as it grows?
Thanks

Hi Jay, Hope all is well! My Superman has never been dark green. With that said, it could be browned out. Your PC Superman should be bright pink with hues of orange. The tips will be a nice vibrant blue. Good Luck, James

The superman is one of favorite corals. I've been able to get a nice metallic sheen to it. It should be a deep pink with orange hues and vibrant blue tips. Thanks for the comments guys! Warmest regards, James

Lee
Hi Lee, Thank you for the high praise. I am honored that you think my tank is worth duplicating. Here are some tips to duplicating my system (sorry for the weird structure of my directions. My return button doesn't work on R2R for some reason. Cannot create new paragraphs). My equipment consists of an ATI 8x80 sunpower, 6x24 GEO Calcium Reactor, Avast Marine Works Kalk Stirrer, Reefkeeper elite, Reeflo Super Dart Gold Return, TUNZE Nano Wavebox, Tunze 6305, Tunze 6105, BRS 6 stage delux RODI, SRO XP-3000 INT with automatic head cleaner, Vertex Zeo Reactor. My net water volume is 150g. I use 1/3 cup of carbon every 6 weeks, change 300ml of my zeo rocks every 6 weeks, and use neo marine salt for my weekly water changes. I dose 6ml of Pohls Extra twice a week. I feed Oyster feast every other night. I dose zeobac two times a week. Alk is maintained near 7. I keep my phosphate at .02-.03. I keep nitrate at .2

I'm sorry I'm sure u answered
Do u have Lr any where in ur system ?
How much of ur sucess do u attribute to the lack of Lr in ur display ?
It makes sense as far as flow and preventing detritus build up !
I really like the idea !
Do u expect that eventually the coral will grow over most of the racks leaving you just a wall of color/coral

Hi Matt, Good questions. I do have one piece of live rock in my system. I added it for my pygmy angel to sleep at night. He was drifting along the bare bottom with no shelter, so I decided to provide a small home. As for attributing success to no LR/LS, i'm not really sure. Its more of a challenge to go no LR/LS, but it does make maintenance much easier. I also am able to provide the perfect pattern of flow without any obstructions. The corals are growing over the rack nicely. I even have corals encrusting the underside of the rack. Warmest Regards, James

Another good question. The bacterial filtration comes from the combination of the dosing of the zeobac and using the zeo media. The Zeo bacteria colonize the zeo media. The zeo media absorb ammonium which prevent the transition into nitrite and then to nitrate.

Hi Singlefin,

Hope all is well!

I'm still here lurking in the background. :) The tank is still doing well. I recently changed the bulbs to a bluer spectrum. I plan on posting some new pics in May. Feel free to ask any questions.

Warmest Regards,
James

Its time to have a little fun folks! All pics were taken with a canon rebel T2i with stock lense. Absolutely no photo shopping. These are the colors under two ATI Actinics. This is a full Zeo tank. Enjoy!
