I recently picked up an apex VDM to control my Tunze stream pumps, specifically looking to setup the wave function with the apex vdm.
I picked up an apex cable for the vdm but didn’t realize they were not actually 2 different cables. It is what appears to be a Y connector to connect 2 pumps to a single vdm port.
I programmed the port but the Tunze stream pumps are not alternating on/off to create a wave in the aquarium.
Do I need another cable to get the wave function going?
To be clear, I am trying to get the stream pumps to alternate on/off, in order to create a wave in the aquarium
Pump A on/pump b off, pump b on/pump a off.
everything I have tried so far, is not working.
Pumps work but they are both on at the same time, they are not alternating on/off.
They are only turn on/off, both at the same time, they won’t alternate.
That’s the best way I can thing of to describe it.
I tried searching but I am not finding anything.
Help is much appreciated!

I probably should have mention, I did setup a pulse profile and varspd1 and varspd2 outputs/outlets are set to auto.

Ok, so after messing with this some more, I have it alternating pumps to performing a wav pattern but it is also turning both pumps on at the same time as part of the cycle.
I am not sure who wrote the code for Apex but I think they were completely stoned when writing this code, it makes no dam sense?
Isn’t there a way to just have the pumps alternate on/off without them also being on at the same time as part of the cycle?

here is the OSC command I have current programmed for each stream pump.

Pump1
Fallback OFF
OSC 000:05/000:05/000:00 Then ON

Pump2
Fallback OFF
OSC 000:00/000:05/000:05 Then ON

After beating my end against the wall, checked on the Neptune forum and someone replied back that you have to use profiles in order to accomplish what I was after.
The pumps now alternate on/off, without ever turning on at the same time.
Basically, I had to create a separate profile for each pump and select the synchronize option.
This synchronizes the pumps so they don’t turn on at the same time.
