I have some stupid questions about plumbing. Please excuse my ignorance; I've never had a reef-ready tank before and cannot find a basic plumbing primer online :)
My tank-in-progress is a 75g Oceanic RR.
I going to be running a 20g sump. I am planning on using a Mag 7 as my return and to also provide flow to 2 BRS reactors (Carbon and GFO) as well as one Phosban Reactor (BioPellets).
The Mag 7 has a 1/2" output size, what size plumbing should I go with for a return? I am not depending on the return for flow; the tank will have 1 Vortech MP40 and 1 MP10 for flow to start; another MP40 may be added. I understand that you have less friction loss when you use a larger size pipe.
What's the advantage to using Spaflex vs. PVC on your return plumbing?
Also- What kind of fitting would I need to go from standard PVC to 1/2" RO tubing? (for my reactors)
