Suggestions on my golfball acan

I bought this 2 months ago. It was a small 3 head frag on disk. Its a wonderful eater and has grown to a fabulous little golfball. The heads are starting to touch the sand now and the backside is touching the sand.
What do I do with it now to allow it to continue growing?
If I place it on a flat rock and the heads grow Ill have this lump in the middle of the colony? I think would look odd?
Any suggestions?
It seems the locals here when fragging leave a huge chunk of skeleton underneath then glue it to a disk. So ive got a few more like this and no saw to chop anything.

I dont know what to do, but mine have done the same thing.

I try to cut mine down as far as possible to avoid this when possible. If you dremel off the top section you will get 2 flatter pieces. Trade one and mount the other. I would keep the base since it will have room to grow on the sides and top.

I get this all the time with my acans. Your two options are either mount it with two part apoxy to a rock frag plate, or you can cut it but at this size I would just mount it and enjoy the knob.

heres a pic of my newest one (left side). The amount of skeleton left is just outrageous. I dont have a wet saw just a hand dremel that seems to take forever to cut thru anything. I dont want to stress it.

so besides the new one, im at a loss of what to do with the others that have already grown. Thinking about cutting these with a dremel just seems harsh. I know a quick cut with a wet saw would be much easier but dont have one.
Do you think the dremel will burn it?

I'd let it grow out like that. When it spreads out more it may be easier to frag in places. Dremel is definitely tough on corals. If you do, start underneath and cut up towards the flesh. When you get to the flesh, finish with a fresh razor.

Dremel is risky business with frags that small, I wouldnt risk it. Know anyone with a band saw?

Whenever you do frag...
Mount the polyps as flat onto or close to a flat surface as you can.
You can file down the skeleton to a 1/4 inch or so.

The best thing I've seen, is someone actually carved out a hole into a small flat rock and then set their new acan frag into the hole, and surrounded it with super glue
= making the polyp flush with the surface will make the new growth spread right onto it.
