I currently have 2 AI prime hd over my 65gal tank with par levels ranging from 85-135. Only have lps and BTAs. Everything is doing good for the most part but what would be a good supplemental lighting option to really make the coral and nems color pop? Seems like i can't get the AI Prime to do that on their own while maintaining enough par levels

one of those lights that show pee I have a flash light with 50 leds from amazon for $10 it really makes a difference after a few 30 minuet sessions weekly
That's hilarious. I have a flash light that shows blood and it makes some of them look great but im looking for something to plug in and run consistently lol

Fluorescent T5’s with some good blue bulbs is a good affordable option.
See this is one of the options I've been thinking of doing. Could get a hybrid fixture since they don't cost an arm and a leg and still have the control from my Primes

I have a 6’ tank and added a couple of 24” Sunblaze fixtures over my Acro mountain and it works well as a supplement to my Hydra 52’s.

Might look into those just as a supplement. $130 for a 4ft fixture sounds better than $300 for a hybrid

You think one 36" strip would be sufficient in helping with the color pop? I don't really need them to help increase par just coloration. Obviously its gonna slightly increase par levels which is okay.

I think it will be noticeable but I haven't played with one in person. I know that people often add an actinic strip to increase the color pop, be that t5, reef brite, orphek, etc.

I’ve never really researched it but have wondered about using an old school blacklight for color pop. Has anyone in this thread ever used a blacklight? LED blacklights are pretty cheap.
