What scares me is that senye is not giving the same wavelengths as what Ai does on their website. Hope this dosent mean senye is very inaccurate.

Does anyone have any links to threads or sites that have distances, depths, readings, etc that I can try to mimic and compare?

My tank is only 14" deep so I'll do the best I can. Again, if anyone has a PAR meter or MH fixture to use for comparison in LA and wants to come by that would be awesome.

This one was just taken at 100%w/100%b/100%rb. Readings were taken with the fixture 12" over the surface and the meter 8" below the water line.

I don't have another meter to compare it to. I'm not exactly sure what the curves are for to be honest with you. Here's the link to their info on lighting: Importance of Light

Sorry, I thought I read somewhere that you had a PAR meter and you planned on comparing the two.

Did you see any measurements for the Sol Blue in there? I only see numbers for the Sol White (doesn't have the royal blue) and that thread is a beast!!

You can also try sending a PM to CalmSeasQuest who is the originator for the thread and is on here as well.

I just received the seneye in the mail. Wow are they fast. I ordered it Thursday and got it today. 4 days. Now I just need to figure it out. It looks like the wave length is close. We now need to figure out how accurate the par test is. I will see if I can find some par numbers to help us out.

Awesome! Make sure you soak your slide before you install it, it does make a difference.

Will do. I also have a 250 HQI burning a 14k phoenix. I can do some comparisons. That should help us understand if the AIs are pushing more par the a MH.

So I installed my Seneye last night after the sensor soaked for 24 hours. Really neat. My levels are different to what my apex say they are though. I probably need to still let it adjust. I also have no access to the light meter. I need to resolve that as well. But I am excite about the future exspandability. It will be able to test Nitrate, Nitrite, Carbonate Harness, Chlorine and one other. Anyone else get theres dialed in?

Seneye support should be able to help you with the light meter pretty fast, they did mine overnight one night while I was sleeping. I noticed my temp is off a few degrees on mine but the pH seems pretty spot on.

You may find others with one here: Seneye Reef Monitor - My Review. I think a few people said they were ordering.

So my light sensor is working now. I did a quick test this morning. When I did the measurement my lights were at 35/50/60 and at the surface on the water, 12" below the lights it measured 450 par. I cant wait to see what the par is under my 250 MH. I will take more measurements when I get some time today.
