I say remove it. I see no benefit to it in this tank. The sand is covered in bubble algae laying loosely on the surface -- Two options, what do you guys think?
1) remove rock and clean sand thoroughly with a big water change, allowing me to place structure in tomorrow.
Or...
2) remove sand completely, delaying structure
I'm wondering about the sand. Should it be removed completely or should it just be cleaned thoroughly ?

Well it finally showed up, it looks good to me and they look more natural under water than you'd think.
Mine if course isn't in tank yet.. it will be, got a lot if work to do with it first though!
I may go bare bottom because the sand has bubble algae in it. It shouldn't be too hard to put in but we'll see how that ends up!
I say no sand as well so you can really crank up the flow
