The strain is "inbred, mixed breed". They have Silver, Golden, And Marble all rolled in there. My silver bred with my golden and had lots of different characteristics show up. I had silvers, marbles, kois, etc in the batches...
That was my suspicion. Even when I got them.

my little workshop tank:
micro puffer and some others in it:
Its overrun with algae because the soil is depleted. Got some stratum to replace/replant

Holy Moses! Remind me to not let you reseal any tank that might ever need it! :p
Hey now, my family is from Missouri/Arkansas...
I think most already suspected this...

I repurposed a BioCube that was my first reef into a Pea Puffer tank. Took out the back filter area and replaced with AquaClear hang on . Cute little fellers.

Same. Pretty much my whole family is between Monette Mo and Rogers AR. I drove through Rogers last year and was amazed at the growth of that city.
Rolla, MO and Kansas City, MO.

Do they have indoor plumbing now?
They have legitimately boomed. Amazing what low taxes, regulation, and a work force that is ready to work, can do for a local business economy.

A lot of industry has moved in. Beautiful housing went up. It's a nice place now.

You left off one important aspect: their hometown boy is LOST IN THE SAUCE!

Did you know the toothbrush was invented in Arkansas?

If it would have been invented anywhere else, it would have been called the "Teethbrush".

If I don't tear down the formerly guppy hospice it will get pea puffers.

Oh jealous! Congrats make sure you use a lid with no gaps. They are wild strains and can leap out of tiny holes.
These are wild strains but are tank bred. I'm getting one of the babies. I decided to go with Green. Blue was very pretty but green seemed to have more shimmer and pop!
