System Specs

Type:

75g
Mixed Reef Tank

History and Goals:
-Started with a BioCube 32 then upgraded to this 75g
-The 75g I bought off someone else; was all beat up.
-In process of building a 250g by mid 2023

Background:
I tore it down completely and redid everything from replacing the silicone to installing a brand new Overflow.
It came with an old-school sump and while I did start modifying it; I found a great deal from someone else selling a better sump for $100.

Set Up:

Installed piping with 3 ball valve exits.

1 valve is for UV
1 valve is for GFO
1 valve is for Algae Turf Scrubber

-The UV exits to the tank

-The GFO exits to the sump. It is now only being used to bring down Nutrients if they get too high so it's off the majority of the time.....although when I started it was on 24/7
When the tank turned 1 year; which was about 2 months ago, this is when I started hitting 0/0 on PO4 and NO-3

-The Algae Turf Scrubber exits into a Chiller which then exits into the Sump
Active opposite times of the tank lights.

-The Overflow drains into the sump which passes through 3 filter floss chamber.
Within the Overflow section I have a bag of Carbon and a bag of Purigen

-Below the filter floss chamber I have my Heater connected to an InkBird controller
Reef is kept at 78 degrees.

-Next chamber is my Skimmer which is connected to a CO2 next to the tank on the outside.
The CO2 has a valve for precise control.
The skimmer is being used part time (3x a week).....although when I started it was on 24/7

-Middle chamber is where the chiller exits to as well as the GFO and I also have 1 pump for a Carbon Reactor.
The Carbon Reactor exits back into the tank on the 3rd chamber.

-
There is also a Bio Sponge Filter that splits between the middle chamber and the 3rd chamber.
This is a 40ppi fine
I also have a dosing tube holder where my dose falls in to a back small chamber before filtering through the Bio Sponge and out to the 3rd chamber.

-
The 3rd chamber is my return pump exiting out to the tank on 2 rigid flex headers.
There is also the emergency drain from the Scrubber going into this 3rd chamber.
There is also a PH instrument within this chamber connected to a controller.
There is also an Auto Top Off gyro that connects to a 5 gallon reservoir of Kalkwasser.

Flow:
Return pump exits from the left of the tank
There are 2 Nero 5's on the right side of the tank
I also keep an extra power head and turn it one from time to time for my Acros.

Lighting:
-AI Hydra 32 HD x2
The Hydra's sit on the back top side by side pointing down to the entire tank.

-AI Prime 16 HD
The Prime sits on the right side of the tank dedicated to Acros

Dosing Machines:
So far I have 3 active dosing machines with a 4th pending to install (daisy chained)
-Dose 1 = Alkalinity
-Dose 2 = Calcium
-Dose 3 - PO4
-Pending Dose 4 = Not sure yet but maybe NO-3 (still thinking bout this)

Parameters:

Alkalinity @ 10
Calcium @ 435

NO-3 @ 10 (keeping it at 10 for Acro coloration purposes)
