I will post a picture of it when I get home, it’s the only fish in the qt tank so I can rule out it getting harassedIn my experience this is not normal. If it hasn't eaten at all in 6 days it's not because of shipping stress, it likely has internal parasites or is being harassed by a tankmate. Can you post a pic of your biocellatus?
Nice Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis!
Your DiamondTail doesnt seem to have a Diamond Tail in this shot?My Diamondtail Wrasse and Magma Fairy Wrasse
So the store emailed me back and said they had it eating pellets and flakes, just tried the pellets and it ate those. How would I get her (I beleive it’s a female) to eat mysis before going into the dt?In my experience this is not normal. Maybe the reverse of how we get them eating pellets. Feed both at same time and she might try the mysis as she is feeding. So the store emailed me back and said they had it eating pellets and flakes, just tried the pellets and it ate those. That's great that she ate the pellets. Get her eating regularly with the pellets first. Once she's eating like normal without any further issues then start mixing the mysis in with the pellets. So the store emailed me back and said they had it eating pellets and flakes, just tried the pellets and it ate those. Ok awesome thank you both! I will try that out, if it doesn’t decide to eat mysis it won’t be that bad because I feed pellets twice a day and mysis once in my dt plus it has lots of pods. Thanks again! That's great that she ate the pellets. Get her eating regularly with the pellets first. Hope so one of my favorite wrassesI'll eventually get one. Someday........
Looks like that scoly is getting in their way. You can send it to me.I’ve had great luck with the Reef Nutrition ROE. Everything in the tank eats them, and it’s worked well with finicky wrasses.
I got a new pink streaked that needs a little TLC, and the eggs got her eating in less than 24 hours.
Yea sorry made an oopsie there, thought you were talking about the rhomboidalis so I sent the reply then realized you were talking about the Magma then forgot to reply again. Among the Reef had them I believe but the company no longer exists and is now joined partners with another, forgot the name though sorryHmm I just checked their website and can’t find magmas anywhere. :/
Dr Reefs says they are easily acquired and often in stock. Don’t know if this is accurate, but here is their link.Hmm I just checked their website and can’t find magmas anywhere. :/
Generally magmas are harder to get hold of than most wrasses but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were easier to get than other rare wrasses like Xenojulis margaritaceus or Cirrhilabrus johnsoni.Dr Reefs says they are easily acquired and often in stock. Don’t know if this is accurate, but here is their link.
