I disagree. C. Rubriventralis is still a recognized species limited to the Red Sea. I’ve linked the paper on researchgate.net and the Reef Builders article regarding the 2 species that were separated from Rubriventralis.

You are right. The name C. rubiventralis is wrong but not C. ribriventralis. I did not read the article throughly and got a little confused.

The other thing is about Rubriventralis, that whole complex is still known and called the Rubriventralis complex, if Rubriventralis was no longer a name why do we still call that complex that name?

Also, yes I’m aware the Reef Builder’s article on the Rubriventralis complex is not up to date with various species missing (most notably Hygroxerus, Rubeus and Africanus still being Cf. rubriventralis).

Honestly, a Chrysus is just the Leucoxanthus from wish IMO.
These two are often called Sister Species and generally, their care and aggression is the same, they just have the difference with the yellow and other colour variations.

I'm planning for a couple of new wrasses, in addition to the Carpenteri flasher wrasse, are you aware of other species that "flash" or change colors ? I have a carpenteri, the other Paracheilinus are very very similiar to it.

Suggestions ?

The fish is very pale and it seems there is something on it? Like its slime coat was peeling off. It’s at the surface with its mouth out the water so it’s lacking oxygen. @i cant think this is a job for you my friend.

Looks to be maybe a spinal injury. It's not moving anything past the front fins. The bobbing to me looks to be just from the flow.

Looks like an advanced case of ich or maybe brook. I recommend posting your video in the fish disease forum so you can get faster help from the fish medics.
