Been running my 40 gallon since 09/22/18.
Display measures 17 & 1/2" deep X 37 & 1/2" wide X 15" tall. 3/8" thick glass
Sump is a 20g long.

I had purchased my weir and sump baffles on ebay from a vendor and had him cut the 40b weir to size since my 40 is different dimensions.

I have a regular run of the mill black box led fixture and its doing surprisingly well hung 18" from the water with Lowe's structural pipe fittings.

Two hydor nanos, one jebao ow-10 for flow
Rio 1700 return pump

Jebao 4 head doser for 2 part, mag (rarely ever), and nopox. Adding about 4ml alk a day, 1ml cal a day, and mag 1ml every 3 days. Tested for over 2 weeks with red sea foundation kit before dosing. Current stats are:
Sal. 1.025
Temp 78.1
Ph 8.2
Nitrate 5 was near 0 but had to slow nopox due to gfo now at 5...
Alk 9.8
Cal 395
Mag 1360
Phos 1.0, after gfo for 4 days .35
(Turned down nopox to 1ml every 3 days...)

Battling hair algae... thought that was bad...
Bubble algae is the devil...

Looking around for small turf scrubber builds I can fit in my sump. For the time being I'm running gfo to keep my phosphates down and was running diy nopox until I started noticing white jelly forming and green cyano. I have since gone from 2ml a day to 1ml every 3 days. I have a feeling that running the gfo will mess with the redfield ratio and will keep me from using nopox all together. Not looking forward to water changes.

Also removed kenya/colt from the rock and put on plugs in the corner of the tank... They grow like a pesky weed that T's off your roses... (Hoping LFS will take them let alone give store credit) Now that I can see the rock I can attack the underlying hair algae and my turbos got some space to get in there now.
