too much chip out?

I don't have a great picture but does this look like too much chip out? It was my first time drilling a hole and I'm worried I screwed it up.

Any chance you can get a more focused picture? When you put your bulkhead on does the gasket reach out past the chips?

Lay the gasket over the hole and see how much coverage it has.

You could put in the bulkhead and pour a bit of water in too see if it seeps out.

actually its for an eshopps overflow and I think the directions say you put the gasket on the outside if I recall, but I think it is shorter than the gasket if that is what you mean.

Looks fine to me :) great tip for you, for the eshopps go inside box, gasket, glass, gasket
, outside box. This is the best configuration I've found that doesnt leak or drip :)

I say drill it :) just go slow, take your time and let the weight of the drill do the work :)

Keep drilling. Lots of water. No pressure. You can clamp wood to the breakout side to help but the first hole looks good as is.

Looks fine. Dont rush the drilling process. Keep very light and steady pressure on the drill. Let the diamonds do their job. Slow and easy.
With the gasket it will seal up and I dont think there will be leaks.
DONOT tighten the nut on bulkhead too much. Just hand tight and maybe a 1/4 turn with tool or force. Otherwise pressure from the over tightening may cause that chip to become crack and worse.

I always like my returns over the top .

as far as that chip be sure to sand them smooth .

Oh OK well too late to change my mind now. :( I hope I didn't screw up by doing the returns. I did better on the other two holes I think, but the last one was slightly worse than my second one.

For a better picture put a black piece of paper right behind the glass, you'll get a focused and detailed picture.
