is there a triggerfish suitable for a 90 gallon or not my tank is 4Lx2Wx18"H

The only likely candidate would be the picasso trigger right? all the research i have done of them say they are painfully slow growers

For 2-4 years if you get a small individual depending on growth. 4 foot isn't a long term size. Nigers grow quicker than most. I have 3 nigers, 1 undulated, and 1 sargassum.

It should be ok if your aquascaping is quite open as they do swim quite a bit, they also don't get massive, probably 8 inch max. Niger triggers can get huge, have seen some at probably 15 inches if you include their streamers. Had a rectangular trigger (same genus as picasso), and it grew quite quickly from tiny 1 inch to a decent 5-6 inch size in around 6 months until I gave it away.

Yeah, I currently have a pink tail in a 120 gallon and it is fast outgrowing the tank. The Caribbean one is nice, never had one here, but should be similar to blue cheek in terms of requirements.

I would say the Caribbean gets a little too large for a 90. They’re more of an open water species than the blue throat, so require a little more swimming room. A blue throat is a very appropriate choice for your tank, though!
