Is the melting pot and acid trip the same chalice??? Lol
And does anyone have pics of there's??? I picked up a frag a couple days ago and just wandering what to expect... I can only find one image on the net from reef builders that looks a little over saturated lol.... Tia

Ktar's Melting Pot and the Acid Trip are different chalices.

Tropicorium called the Acid Trip chalice the Melting Pot chalice when they first released it, even though Ktar's Melting Pot chalice had already been out and named the same thing before. They got flack about it and then changed the name to Acid Trip. Ktar's Melting Pot and the Acid Trip are very different, as was stated above.

I have the acid trip for a while now and I can tell you it's a very slow grower. Mine is about the size of a nickle and is pink with purple lines. As I understand the chalice needs to reach three inches before you see the crazy colors. I guess in about three years I should know.

$400 an eye last time I saw it on Trop's website. Not on there currently.

Lol... I got a 2 eye frag last week it's pink and purple... I think I can get some colors out of it if there, there.... My tank has took off since I neglected it... Stupid low nutrient systems... I quit dosing a few things since I have been tied up at work and I got some algae growth a diatom bloom and my corals have took off and pulling some crazy colors recently since I neglected it... Must have starved the tank...:(
