Two photos I didn't post... my acros. Its too much zoom for the camera to pick up clearly... but I figured I'd post um up anyway. TSA Carolina Reaper and FHC Kryptonic. Both have begun entrusting their glue pedestals...

Nothing better than seeing SPS start growing. That one on top is a healthy chunk to start off with too.

New food came in today. Chad was doing a deal with free shipping if you ordered a package. I had been wanting some more anyway so it was a win win.

Good evening. Not sure who Chad is, and hope he gave you a deal, but I can say I have used phyto feast before with good results. I've since switched but it is a really good food. I bet you will love it.

Er, well the corals will :D

Chad Clayton... one of the big guys over at Reef Nutrition, I think. He's actually "live food supervisor at Reed Mariculture"(according to his Facebook profile), who owns Reef Nutrition. We're "Facebook friends" and I saw the sale and he messaged me after I purchased to thank me for my business.

I've used the oyster feast and roe before and liked both. Oyster feast gets a huge reaction out of the corals. The phyto is SUPER green.

Got home from work today and noticed how good the tank looked. Every coral was full and fluffy, fish were swimming around. So at feeding time I decided to test my alk, just because it's been a few days and I did just get done with that algae treatment. 8.8dkh, a little high but not danger zone. I wonder, my skimmer has been overflowing still, so I let it overflow into a bucket and had the ATO fill back. I added salt to the filter sock very gradually to keep salinity from dropping... well, I went too far. Salinity is 1.030, I'm not in a panic to bring it back down. I'm actually quite surprised at how well the tank looks. I did allow the skimmer to overflow about a gallon into the bucket during feeding... ATO pumped for what seemed like forever.

So, I've been dosing H2O2 at 1ml/10g once a week for I think two weeks now? Had a little pesky GHA that was growing on a few zoa frags on the rack. That is now gone, and I don't want to speak too soon, but I believe the ulva is starting to very slowly die off. There was some on the gyre, and being that is where I dose the H2O2, it is now completely gone from that area and the stuff on the snails is seemingly less dense. I did spot Ahi finally eating ulva from a snail. I've been withholding his double nori clips he's been used to. With the new scape, he's found a hiding spot back on the right side of the tank, away from the clowns, so they haven't been fighting like before.

No filter, super blue... but super happy LPS.

I've been feeding 1tsp of the Reef Nutrition Phyto and Oyster Feast a day on top of 4 drops of the KZ Sponge Power and feeding LRS Fish Frenzy and the corals go nuts. The anthias go crazy over the oyster feast also.

Speaking of anthias they are all doing very well. One is clearly turning male, but the other two have been able to have their own space and food.

I try and feed the phyto and oyster before I feed the fish. The LPS really responds to all the phyto in the water and the SPS seem to be happy also.
