Ok ok, last but certainly not least, the pièce de résistance of the order...

A yellow banded possum wrasse! It's hiding right now but I got a few pictures before it did. All 3(maybe 4, still not sure about the dracula goby) fish are hiding right now actually.

Blaze did pop out and say hi to me earlier. Him and Ember have come to recognize me as the great food fishgod and welcome my presence at the tank excitedly. As long as I don't move too quickly, or stick my hand in the tank, I can watch them eat and swim without disturbing them.

Found the wrasse. He found the barnacles.

So, Ember has the hidey hole in the rock, Blaze hangs out in the skull, and the new guy likes the barnacles. Everyone has their own spot.

Took a few pictures of the inverts as well. (That's my pinky, not index finger)

The Tanaka wrasse is the perfect fish for the miniature menagerie.
Congratulations.

I decided to move the mangroves up a level in the media basket. It has large and small holes in the divider plates. They fit thru the large holes but not the small. I had them thru the top plate and resting in the small holes on the middle plate. I just moved them up to the small holes in the top plate. I may end up doing without the filter floss in the bottom if I don't find another place to set them.

I really think they would look great in the tank with the roots going down. I just need to find a way to keep the fish in and still allow the mangroves to grow. I thought about a custom lid with a spot to hold them... probably out of my budget.

Congratulations.

I JUST realized I can change the title of my own threads...

Congrats, you won the prize for renaming the thread. I'm uh, not sure there actually is a prize, but you won it.

The "orange" ric looks like it has decided to grab onto the second piece of rubble rock I rested it against, and is now almost fully open they way it was before the great detachment. Its uh, just not fully orange anymore. It's taken on a more greenish orange color. I think I'll name this one Orange Peel. Turtle's Orange Peel Ricordea, look for it in your LFS's high end bin for the low price of 1,000 pennies, lol.

Did some sand bed cleaning today. I dont like really stiring it up, but I do break the crust layer that forms on the top, poke a few holes in it to kinda aerate it, and then clean up against the glass... I use a long BBQ skewer for all this. I believe they are 24" long(just looked at the pack, they are in fact 32" long), and the deepest part of the tank is 17" so they work really well.

Here you can see I've done half of the front. I just poke the tip of the skewer down into the sand next to the glass and get all that yucky stuff out of there.

And finished. Looks so much better with clean sand.
