New additions yesterday. Royal gramma and a strawberry crab. I wanted an invert that wouldn't end up a snack for Aku, but also wouldn't try and snack on my fish, yet was also something you didn't see every day. I think the strawberry crab will be a nice fit when it's not hiding inside the rock. That's the thing with inverts. They are rather cryptic.

And i just realized the pictures of the strawberry crab are on my other phone. Got a new phone, Galaxy S10+. So far it's pretty decent at taking pictures, but I need to play with it more.

Gramma was out, swimming around and ate some PE mysis pellets before I left for work.

It's not often I quote myself (wait if I quote Turtle or if Turtle quotes me, is that really quoting yourself?) but I had to say something about that photo... It turned out really well. Even looking at it on a computer!

I was going to ask if Aku has noticed the gramma but then I saw the Photobomb;Hilarious

So, it's in my other thread but the girlfriend won a Reefer 250 at Reef Dreams. She loves angel fish, especially Pomacanthrus navarcus, but being that they grow to a foot long and her Reefer is only three feet long... ya, so I got her one to put in her tank but it's not ready yet. It's a nox dwarf angel, only grows to 4". Until her tank is cycled, it lives in the menagerie. Don't worry, it's only 2", fits inside Smiley and more spacious and comfortable than a bare bottom 10g QT tank.

I tell you all this to show you, Aku's favorite hobby is photo bombing.

Nice! Didn’t take long to get that Reefer wet at all! They’re a sweet little setup and I found it the perfect setup for a new comer. I know you’ll probably be doing most of the work in the beginning but yeah, she’ll get a handle on it quickly.

Today makes absolute certain were at day 14 of the bryopsis treatment. It's all long gone. Tonight I will make sure my new salt mix is at proper salinity and prepare for a near 100% water change. Aku hasn't eaten since starting treatment. He's still active and checked out food a few times, but has refused everything. I also have some Chemipure Blue I'm going to add to the media basket to remove any residual medication.

I also got some good news over the weekend. The Nanobox is complete, just waiting on it to ship out now. I'm expecting it within a week.

BIG water change day. Aku hasn't eated since we did the fluconazole treatment. He has shown slight interest, but won't accept anything. So, I added a pack of chemipure blue to the media basket and drained all but 2 inches of water from the display. Refilled with temp and salinity matched fresh mix Red Sea blue bucket and turned all the pumps back on. Everyone is a little stressed, and while regluing the yumas, I knocked loose the barnacle... but everyone is ok.

No effect on anyone else, and about 30 minutes after the large water change Aku ate a piece of shrimp that thawed out of the LRS chunky. I offered a second piece, but he showed no interest.

I was thinking he would hold out for a few days at least, he can't be that stressed then!;Hilarious

Yea, shortly after I finished the water change and got all the pumps on I saw Aku moving around and the gramma was back out swimming. Its the only fish that is active. The blenny hides most of the time and comes out every now and then to eat some nori, or swim with the basslet. The angelfish I'm holding in here stays inside Smiley, or in one of the caves in the rocks. I was thawing some regular LRS for the big tank, so I figured I'd try and get Aku to eat something.
