ok, time for things to start getting real. need to heat up the tank and add salt now instead of just saying how i should do it

That skimmer is sized right for your tank? It looks so teeny tiny in that sump :) Sucks that you wouldn't be able to drain it out of the sump. Maybe you can raise it up?

Sump level is adjustable with a baffle plate. The sump level is currently at 9 inches which is what the manufacturer recommends for my skimmer

Oh I'm sure you set the water level up correctly! I was more getting at the cup looks super small. At least if you have an overflow, you know it'll stay in the sump!!

Added some battery powered lights tothe stump area, and now I can see whatI'm doing

One of the best decision ever, so glad i took the time to put some in mine. The sump looks great! I went dry rock and I'm happy with it, but sometimes I think it would have been fun to go live rock instead.

So checked RC and found out Richard is on vacation until 6/18 so looks like I got everything ready a few days too early, oh well. Also RC is a ghost town these days
