- Sturdy, lots of rock, substrate and whatever 160 gallons saltwater weighs. Should’ve tore out flooring. Concrete underneath, however there is a slight list on right side of tank, probably due to my flexible pvc tubing reverse siphoning when changing out a media canister and getting a puddle under the stand..

- 2 Red Sea gyres mounted on each end of the tank. 4 Maxspect gyres across the back. One Mp40, and two return ports with return pump running at 93% power.

- Red Sea for Mg, Ca, Alk, and Trace. Apex DOS for Vodka, getting ready to install a Maxspect single head dosing pump for Kalkwasser for small nighttime dosing. I really like my dkh just under 10, no higher. I’m not too concerned with PH, yesterday it was 7.7, usually around 8.13 daytime, down to 7.86 at night.

- Could use a frag tank. Bought close to 90 corals, have lost about 10 throughout this year, at least 5 were Acro’s. Too much flow, too much light, too much parameter variance. Sometimes I’m not quick enough to see the cue it needs moved or I need to being monitoring a little closer on stability, tank is still young. Lost a juicy fruit Acro recently. Then there was a really spendy one from TSA. Lasted 2 weeks, came home one evening and its flesh was beginning to peel. Next day skeleton..

- I like media canisters, carbon, GFO, Bio pellets. Use a UV sterilizer, Red Sea 1200 roller mat< goes through a ton of rolls, but thanks Ryan, with your help, it is a little better rather than a roll per week!

- I’ve let Nitrate and phosphate soar the last few months. Would never do a ULNS, but Nitrate 15-20, Phosphate less than .1 is golden for me, plus a little algae for algae eating CUC, and some detritus for detritivorous eating inverts is all good in my book. We all gotta eat!

- Love wrasses, love hate relationship with Copperband. 2 springer Dottybacks are a couple of Dobermans when my hands are placing a coral in there tank. Clowns are mean, BSJ is a favorite, favorite hermit is the scarlet Reef hermit. Have 4 large Halloween crabs. They are bulldozers, knock over a clam before the byssal threads attach, but I still love them. Tongan Nassarious, Trochus, Ninja star, Bumblebee, certain Nerrite and Dove snails are my favorite.

This hobby is too expensive for me to powder my nose anyways and thank goodness the shoal of people I have in my circle like beer! Though I’m on the wagon again. But I got stories of being in the beer distribution buisness for 20 years. Nothing like a cold one while sparking up the grill or just chilling with the reef a while. Alcohol is a poison though, however green is a favorite color, and that stuff with Cannabinoids that’s also sparkable can make reef viewing rather unique. Where was I going with this, umm, PPE when handling Kalk, don’t inhale, get it in your eyes, or up the sinus cavity. My reefing tip of the day. Been up since 02:00 hours drinking too much Americanos and Kambucha.
