I don’t understand why this is a problem. If someone is willing to pay a premium for a product why regulate that. That’s how free markets work. Why is the trident special?
every day I see people pay a load of money for corals. Why doesn’t reef2reef
Regulate that? I am a strong believer in free markets and thing should sell for whatever someone is willing to pay.
ever been frustrated at trying to buy a ticket for a show and a few seconds after they become available, all tickets are sold out, but there are tons of reseller selling them at 1.5 or up to 5x the price they paid for it? most of the time, reseller are causing the problem of product availability when they see the hype around a product.

I get that and understand but why the trident ? Why not have these same policy for people charging $xxxx for a torch ?
why only this product ?
I see coral market more like art products, each are different and unique. The trident is a manufactured product, like a tool, they are all the same and perform the same job. all units are worth the same, unles defective.

To an extent, fine, we don’t need R2R turning into the black market commodity trade for coral. But I haven’t been able to get a trident yet and there have been a few times I’ve almost paid $200 more for it. Why? because I want it now not later. If I am willing to do that, why can’t I do it on R2R instead of having to go to eBay or offer up? Hard to regulate but just saying absolutely not is pretty rough.
Yet - BRS had them in stock for quite a while today.... now its gone.

If I were you - it seems like BRS Gets some each monday - is there list exhausted (it must be - since they are offering them for sale)

The list was aborted. They sent out emails to all of the remaining users on the list and explained why they chose to do it. I am pretty sure I created a post on it especially just before it was ended my daughter, who joined the list a month or so after I did (few minutes after it went live) got a email asking if she wanted one :) I of course never received one so she proceeded to troll me for a week or so how BRS liked her better. Go figure.

It didn't matter though because I was able to find one before but the other "in-stock" thread in which fellow hobbyist like you post availability they see :D

not to me:)

Apparently BRS likes @saf1 and his daughter better than me - and - defined by several other threads - so do a lot of people LOL:)

Lol. My daughter got the email asking if she was interesting in the trident :) I got the email saying the list was canceled and why. You didn't get one of those? I know a few of us did I thought I recalled.

I do not know, I just post on here if I see them. Trident is not the issue it is the reagent in my opinion. They should never sell two month supply only 6 month supply of reagent.

Top shelf Aquatics in Orlando had like 13 in December. They might still have some I saw a few everytime I went in.
