That's what I've been reading also. Just wasn't sure if I should start lower or not. I guess we'll see how it all acts.Looks really good. Start it really low. Then gradually ramp it up over a couple of weeks
Thanks. I'll see if anyone has one next time I'm at one of the lfs's. Not sure of any local clubs. If you could borrow a PAR meter from someone in a local club you could set some definitive measurable set points. Or buy the Seneye Reef, it has a built-in light meters but it is spendy.
Thanks. I did notice the corals not opening as much, I think I had the lights up to much. I have the blues now at about 50% and the whites around 25%. They all are open now, so I will take it slower. Still think it's plenty strong. My zoas are all open, but almost flat on the rock they are on.Nice corals though. Definitely start lower on light and increase gradually. you may need to move pieces around to get it right. It is a guessing game at first, but you will get the hang of your lights and flow and tank. Par meter will give you a great starting point if you can find one.
Thanks! You talking about his black spots? I'm not sure what he's been getting into. I haven't seen him ready go into anything, he spends a lot of time around the Kenya tree and my GSP though.Photos look great, your clownfish looks just like mine. What's he hosting? May want to try getting some cheap gel filters for the phone. I just picked some up and they're pretty fun to play around with and definitely help with getting the color balance right. Plus it's a h*ll of a lot cheaper then buying a new camera xD
