I noticed that there was some brown stuff on my hammer. I’m just wondering what it is, what might be causing it, and if it’s something of concern.

Parameters:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 10
Ph: 0.1
Salinity: 1.025
Alk: 9dkh

Can’t really see from the pics I can’t see any brown slime. I have had a torch get brown jelly disease they are usually sucked in and a brown jelly like slime covers the coral and it is dead in a few days.

The tentacles aren't sucked in it kind of seems as if the coral doesn't even notice. It's just a little bit of brown slime that you can see if you zoom in a little on the middle of the picture.

I don't see much slime but I do see some of what looks like vermeted snails. Could they be bothering it? I lost my hammers rather quickly with brown jelly but I think my tank was to new and my parms got out of whack.

Did you just recently feed him? Could just be poop!
Also I’d ice pick those vermited snails off. I let them do their thing in my tank and now they are everywhere. And I mean everywhere.
