So my daughter found this in the QT tank today. Any idea what it is?

Looks like a perfectly normal bristle worm to me. Some people don’t like them, and some do. I personally think they’re great

Agreed it is a standard bristle worm. They are a free cleanup crew. Usually hide during day and come out at night. As long as you dont grab one they are not an issue.

So my daughter found this in the QT tank today. Any idea what it is?

Bristleworm, from the looks of it this one looks like a harmless detritivore. They’ll also scavenge and eat uneaten fish/coral food as well as consume dead and decaying matter. So if you have a dead or dying fish/invert or coral these guys will turn up to clean up.

looks like a bristle worm. don't touch it because the bristles on its body will irritate your skin for up to a week
