I just noticed this orange glow under the night lights of my aquarium. It’s extremely difficult to get a good picture of it under any lighting. It is located at the bottom of a base rock.

it has orange polka dots around a dark middle part. It doesn’t move at all either. Super curious as to what this may be.

I'm guessing the light blue spots under actinic are the spots the OP is talking about, can't see anything in hte fisrt pic under white light.

Nope. Here I’ve drawn an arrow. It really stinks because in person it’s vibrant orange. But I can’t get it to translate to the camera for the life of me.

sorry ,still to blurry for me to see, good luck...:cool:
@Eagle_Steve ??
I cannot really tell from the pics. I have similar stuff like this with Florida live rock from KP and TBLR. It was a type of coralline and was pretty cool.

If the OP could place their phone against the glass of the aquarium, shine a flash light on that spot and then take the pic, it may make it a little clearer to see.

It's the corraline algae. I see it quite often under heavy blue. Super bright orange for a day or two and fades back to purple. Here's some that appeared near glass so easier to photograph

Totally missed that, even zooming in on hte picture. Sorry, don't have much of a better guess. You might try using a yellow or orange filter to filter out some of the blue light and zooming in on it.

I’ve seen that before but man. I’m pretty confident this is different. The parts that glow are circular and separated.

I’m trying so hard lol. Here is another couple of attempts. Both up against the glass one with a flashlight.
