Yeah I knew that going in. Might get one from a LFS next time that I can see is eating. Anything I can do now? He's still breathing but on his side.
Unfortunately, without knowing what to treat I don't know how to help. It could be any number of things. Ensure lots of oxygen in the tank (powerhead breaking surface or airstone) and keep ammonia at 0 with water quality high.

As a reminder, don't dose prime, amquel, or any other ammonia detoxifier with medication as it'll poison the fish (particularly copper).

This is my third QT so I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right. Just looking for a Hail Mary I guess.

I understand. You win some you lose some. You lose many with this species, unfortunately.

@Cflip Your copper level looks to be 2.0 ppm.

However, if the angel is laying on his side (breathing heavily also I assume?) then it's possible he is having a hard time with the copper. So, I would place him in a 5 gal bucket (no meds) just to see if he perks up. Hail Mary pass.

Of course, there's so many things going wrong here - internal parasites + "something" has lodged itself into his skin - that it's hard to say for sure what is causing the most damage to this fish. :(
