Does it have blue on the tip of its dorsal and anal fins?
If it does then it is a completely different fish.
It would possibly be a Ctenochaetus Truncatus( Yellow Bristletooth Tang) if it did.

Yes it does, how come I've never seen yellow bristletooths before? Are they hard to find?

They are not very common because pet shops stock more popular fish. Plus, they are not very common and many aquarists don’t know about them. The Kole and Tomini Tangs are the fan favorites and most popular.

It's a young squaretail, they turn a brownish color when they mature. They have a Yellow color as juvies. So if it isn't a young Lemon Peel Mimic Tang aka Chocolate Tang then that is likely what it is (C.Truncatus).

It could be a few different species of Bristletooth as most start out as yellow juveniles but based on the mouth structure I agree it’s Ctenochaetus. Depending on price I would jump on it cuz it could be flavicauda, but even if it’s a squaretail (truncatus) they are very nice just FYI.

Just purchased it for $60
