I have been using vibrant for about 4 weeks now, it honestly doesn’t seem like it is doing anything, this algae is spreading at an alarming rate and I can not get rid of it, what type of algae might this be? And also does vibrant actually work or is it a gimmick?
I use RO/DI water so that’s not the problem, alk 9.0 ,calcium 440 , ph 8.2, nitrate 0-5

About 5 months old approximately, fully cycled, good copepod population, coralline algae growth, stable parameters, the tank shouldn’t be having any problems

algae is tough can be at any time in a tanks life. if water is stripped of nutrients can cause issues as can high.
your using api for po4 what are your other test kits and what’s your light cycle?
are you running a skimmer?
whats stocked for fish in tank
what and how much do you feed and how often

Sounds more like diatoms then and is the normal "Ugly Phase" of most tanks.

I'd agree with diatoms. If your tanks big enough get a mimic tang they'll clean up any algae.

You can blow it off the rocks to get it into the water column and down the overflow into your filter socks. But, that will make the tank look cloudy. They will go away at some point, yes.
