Time to have a bit of Fun. Reef started mid March of this year(just over 8 months ago). It's been growing my torch and hammer slowly. My hollywood stunner chalices are growing like mad. Other Corals like Acropora die pretty quickly. Birdsnest is showing its polyps and looking heathier. Forest Fire Digitata is retracted has has yet to extend its polyps(4 weeks). Fish are Thriving and healthy. I'd like to see what might be the best investment for a few of the issues I'd like to eventually solve. New tank is not an option at this time(This was supposed to be a budget build).

1) Equipment in the tank is starting to accumulate and its starting to annoy me a bit. Tank cannot be drilled. Space under the tank is pretty limited, but could house a 10g tank(see Pictures). Is it worth trying to look at doing a a HOB Overflow?

2) Since I missed the part of the process of curing dry rock(didn't read about this till way to late) I fear phosphate has leeched into the rocks during this time. I'm having alot of fun dealing with cyano and GHA. No matter how much I do water changes the phosphate goes right back to .14 to .17ppm. Nitrates are a steady less than 15ppm. Would a skimmer help with this? Should I look at doing a HOB refugium with one of those aquamaxx 110 mods? Ideally I'd like to get the phosphates less than .08 ppm.

3) Less Water Changes. I feel like changing the water has had minimal to no effect. I have a pretty light bioload (See livestock below). My Corals are pretty much all small or Frags. Feeding is a couple pinches of small pellets in the morning. 1 cube of mysis at night(sometimes don't use the whole thing). Nori clip with 1/2 sheet every 2 to 3 days.

Just trying to figure out what would be my best bang for the buck to solve a couple or all of these.

Time for the goodies.

I've run a 75, 90, 120. Your stocking list is a bit ambitious for a 75. I have a Copperband, one spot fox, Falco hawk, green Chromis yellow tailed damsel. I had this in a 75, 90 and just moved to the 120. I added a six line wrasse and a tomini tang to the 120. I did not enjoy watching the fox face and copperband in the 75. To cramped. Now everything is in a 120 and when the tang is full sized it would be max in my opponent except for maybe small additions.
Id do the Tomi, and skip the Hippo and one spot. Add smaller fish with character

My tank is about 9 months, went through a similar issue. Just stuck with doing weekly water changes and bought a clean up crew with hermits, snails and emerald crab. Also added 3 mexican turbo snails. After about a month most of the gha is gone.

Will do. Someone also mentioned adding an urchin as well. Going to continue to ride out the storm
