Hey fellow Triton users. I'm planing to make the switch to Triton and sorting out some details. I am a carbon doser at the moment using Red Sea NoPox. I also do daily 2gal water changes automatically using IO. I just received my Core7 base elements and three ICP test kits and not sure where to start. When should I start the Core7?

My current water Param's are using Salifert are

Ca 425
Alk 8.4
Mag 1400
N03 0.0
P04 0.03 (Hanna)

So here is my plan so far.

1. Test water with ICP to base line water

2. Set up fuge section and slowly stop carbon dosing

3. Slowly back off water changes.

Thanks for any help.

Yep yep and yep, sounds like you have a plan.

Slowly slowly when changing over, just make sure that the algae is ready to handle the load before knocking it off completely.

As soon as you are happy with your Base line, your Alk is in a good place already so if your ICP doesn't bring back too many things needing correcting then you are good to go!

Are you using marine pure ceramic blocks in your sump? your Aluminum is very high and needs to be lowered. You probably ran Tech M magnesium too for bryopsis control at some point too maybe?
