I put my toddler hippo tank amd 8 gallons of cycled water, live rock, and live sand in my new 16 gallon will it survive the next weeks w thse cinditions? Or should i wait on water change ?

hi,yep 911,suggest 4 gallon change now,2 gallon say 20 hours, 2 gallon sat morn,make sure temp of water is same on drastic ,don't even bother testing until sun,best of luck salinity 1.023 best bet in sm tank

mixing and heating quick like immedately ,forget the rule mix it ,heat it ,do it,just be careful not to pour unmixed salt from bottom of bucket

Wow. Don't just throw it in after it 'looks clear'. You'll cause yourself more issues. Follow your manufacturer's directions. They're there for a reason. If you're going to keep coral, I wouldn't keep hypo, in fact I'd keep 1.026.

I’d add in some bottled nitrifying bacteria like microbacter 7 or something similar. You’re showing ammonia and that is extremely toxic to fish.
