I’ve got a large banded serpent star fish that has successfully reproduced. What would you suggest I do with the babies. They love getting under my magnetic float scraper. Can they survive in the sump?? Will they stay in the sump?? I would love to take them to my LFS for some credit…… thoughts…….

Can adding top off water hurt echinoderms?

Could adding top off water affect the salinity enough to shock sea urchins? I assume no, since i have a few asterina stars that are fine with it but those are also very hardy so I wanted to make sure. Thinking about getting a tuxedo sea urchin since I like them so much.

Any experiences with Serpent Stars? Fish-eating monsters, or model citizens?

Part 2 to TBS "The Package" arrived on Thursday, and they included a Serpent Star (about 4" across). I've fed him a cube of Mysis Shrimp twice now, and he comes out pretty quick even with lights still somewhat on to take it. But honestly, he scares the heck out of me. I'm also worried he'll go...
