-> My Algae Scrubber, running FULL TILT on making Macro had no Impact on Lowering Trace Elements (1 Week after Water change)
-----------> This means I can Scrub All I want with my Current Weekly Water change and no worries about adding anything.

.

It does have an impact on elements, but if you are doing water changes you are replenishing them! The problem comes from NOT doing water changes, or not doing enough water changes, with Chaeto.

It's biology -- chaeto uptakes trace elements, specifically metals (unfortunately not the ones you're trying to get rid of!)

So unless you plan to do zero water changes, you won't have to worry about chaeto eating up any elements :D

Couple of Fish in QT (To Replace Lost Comrades in DT) Blue Neon Goby

Just Lost the Mandarin, and 2 of of 3 Carriberryi Anthias never made it. DT has room for a couple more fish.

@Rakie highly recommended a few Gobies.....

Came across these Blue Neon Gobies that @tenurepro was getting, so together we got 4 and I'm doing QT.

They are Super tiny, and I worry about going down DT overflow. We'll see.
At least they are eating.

Oh! Neon gobies are awesome, tons of personality, and they clean fish. Hope they pair up or they might fight though!

Otherwise gobies are very resilient of illness and disease. I'm not saying to dump it right in.. but if I had to, I wouldn't worry with a goby or blenny. Not sure what makes them so resistant but they're bullet proof.

FIRST EVER (Almost Full Tank TOP SHOT)

A single Try Attempt (raised Fixture)....Result isn't great.....But Gives me an Idea of Frag Layout for Future Reference.

My OLD 65 Gallon Tank was Easy to get a Full Tank Shot, With One Photo.
This 110 with EuroTrim, and Extra Front-to-Back Depth is impossible.

But here you go.

** NEW More FRAG SPACE ** (CaribSea Arch Rock) FUTURE Install (PERFIT FIT) * Aging in Sump Refuge **

Coral Shop got a large shipment of CaribSea Shapes Rocks.
Tried a bunch, and nothing worked.

Then I tried a arch and it was TOO BIG, but it broke at the Welding Point.

LEFT OVER PIECE of Arch Fit Perfectly. No PUTTY just Dropped in and LOCKED IN PLACE.

Not 100% happy with the Look since the Tubinaria Coral lost it GRAND LOOK.

I will move it UP and to Right at the Top of the RIGHT ROCK ISLAND.

FOR NOW THE Rock will AGE in Sump Refuge, after learning last time it went thru a New-Rock UGLY Stage during Aging.

To COMPARE ARCH (Setup FROM PAST)

The FULL-SIZED ARCH on the LEFT (as it sits now) was originally on the (RIGHT SIDE).
2019-01-22_OldArch.jpg

It looked nice, but too HIGH UP and Block fthe Flow from the Sea Swirl.

To achieve that look would be challenging with the Large Tubinaria Coral.

HERE IS A SIDE BY SIDE (PHOTO SHOPPED) Comparison. ** FUTURE POSSIBILITIES ***

2019-01-22_NewOLDArchCompare.jpg

Would be nice, but NOT removing my Tubinaria.
AND Can't Lose the SeaSwirl/VCA Nozzle Circulation Benefit.

I like the rock addition!

Find a few more mp60s and you can ditch a bunch of other stuff [emoji23]
You don't mean Ditch the VCA Nozzle on the Sea Swirl...Do you?
After all it was you who talked in into buying one.

The Gyre XF150 Stays, same for the CP-40 (which will Die soon, as they all do...Ticking-Time-Bombs), but I would like to get rid of the Hydor Koralias.

And I don't think I ever come across another broken MP60 I can fix.

There is a Vermetid snail somewhere on ROck.

I noticed a Vermetid type WEBBING, but thought it might be glue.

But two days in a row I brush WEB away, and it keep coming back.

One Acro caught in the WEB is aggravated

I may be lucky since it's coming from a Cluster of Loose Rocks glued together.

FOUND HIM!!! After two small rock removal.

2019-01-24_Vermitid-Snail.jpg

I carved out a Chunk of the Live Rock and then Sealed the Area with Putty/Glue (extra safe).

Nice thing about Vermitid Snails is they are really small, but their WEB Tracer gives them away (down to a pin point Source)

vermatids suck, but can be dealt with if you ever get an infestation let me know. I've got a tried and true way to kill them that I've shared with a lot of people and all of them have had success.

I'm sure you've seen them! They are little non-moving snails that grow out on rock as little tubes, and cast nets to filter feed. They also wreck SPS directly and specifically.

Yes, slowly. They basically annoy the SPS around them everytime you feed the tank, or do a water change, or stir the sand. It slows growth and can annoy a coral to death.

You what calcite chalk, which is supposedly what KZ Coral Snow is.. it is inert, and cleans your tank very well surprisingly!

On my case, I had a Vermatid Snail near a Plating Monti a while ago.
It's WEB would annoy they Monti to the point where part of it died off.
I cut off the Dead Part, and Got rid of the Vermitid and all good.

They don't target/eat your corals like AEFW, they just annoy them if they find a home next to your SPS.

This time the Snail was shooting its web over the Acro, which stopped PE from the Irritation, but no Permanent harm.

So Rakie what is the Calcite Chalk? A stick you smear over the snails home?
Or just another product like Coral Snow, which I just ran out of and ordered another bottle.
I like Coral Snow for weekly Water Column Polishing, and it worked great to as Media for CyanoClean that ended my Mini Cyano Outbreak.
