1 Booster Pump & 2 units

Currently have one RODI unit with a booster pump. Psi is ~95.

If I bought a second unit and split the output from the booster pump, would it create more water or have no effect?

i think your probably better off going dual serial RO membranes instead of branching 2 complete RO units in paralell.

But i think you would divide the pressure equally along the branching paths.
So technically you would produce more water.

But again, you would probably get close by doing dual membranes, and end up wasting less waste water on top.

Is four membranes possible?

It's generally a bad idea to plumb membranes in series if you have hard water. You'll shorten the lifespan of the membranes.

Also know that aquatec 8800 booster pumps can be made to work with a max of 150 gpd of membrane. If you have more than that you'll need a higher capacity pump

So should I split the line before the booster pump and have one unit with a booster and one without?
